Welcome Back! We’re so excited to start our 38th season.
We can’t wait to see everyone in class this week!

It's Dress Rehearsal! Our chance to practice before the big show. Dress rehearsal is our chance to run through the show before we get an audience. Students get a chance to practice their dances in their costume, practice their costume changes if they have them, and especially important for our young and new students, they get to see the stage and backstage before the day of the show! We find this really helps with nerves on recital day.

Important Notes for Dress Rehearsal: 
 

• Arrive in costume 10 minutes before your scheduled time. If student is in more than one dance, arrive in first costume and bring remainder of costumes with you. 

• Report to CHECK-IN immediately upon arrival. Students will be taken with their group back stage from here.

• When students have finished dancing, they will meet their parents back in the same entrance area near check in.

• All accounts must be paid before Dress Rehearsal. Students with a balance owing will not be permitted to participate in the recital or dress rehearsal. 

*NOTE: Sunday Classes are cancelled today to allow for photos to take place.

Get your hair done, your costumes on, and your smiles ready! It's Picture Day!

Group and Individual pictures will be taken in costume. Please arrive approximately 10 minutes before your scheduled time, and ready to go in costume and dance shoes. 

Changing rooms in both studios will be open and available to those who have more than one costume for the day.

We did it! Today is the last day of exams with Miss Fraser at the studio. 

Please arrive dressed for your exam, with appropriate footwear, tights, and hair ready to dance.

Welcome back to term 2 of dance!

Classes begin again today as scheduled. We look forward to running exams, picture day, and recital time with all of you this term!

Keep your eyes open for more info on those events coming soon.

Parade Day is today!

FOR PERFORMERS:
The bus will leave Leisa's School of Dance at 3:45 pm sharp and take all dancers and volunteers to the parade route starting point. The bus will pick everyone up at the end of the parade route and everyone will take the bus back to the studio to be picked up by parents. No student is permitted to leave the parade route once we start dancing.  Any tired dancers may ride in the van to the end of the route. Depending on where we are in the parade, the bus should arrive back at the studio no later than 7:15pm. Remember to wear your red and white!

FOR SPECTATORS:
The parade will leave from Innovation Park at 5:00pm (Bath Road & Princess Street) and travel down Princess to Ontario Street. Cheer loudly for our dancers in red and white! 

12:30-1:30pm

We will be practicing outside in the parking lot so come dressed for the weather!

The BATD Trixie Hardy Scholarships host an annual workshop weekend for BATD Students. Classes are offered in Tap, Ballet, Musical Theatre, Contemporary and Hip Hop and taught by industry professionals. It is an exciting (and exhausting) day and a great chance for students to enrich their training by learning from new teachers and seeing the talent of so many dancers in one room!

Order Deadline for Leisa's School of Dance Parade clothing is today. Please ensure orders and payments are submitted before the end of the day!
