Summer Dance Camp 2024

Our Dance Camps operate every summer for two weeks in July and two weeks in August. During their week of camp, dancers will have the chance to sample many different styles of dancing including ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop and baton! Throughout the week campers spend most of the day learning short routines in multiple dance styles, with breaks for snack and lunch. In the afternoons (weather permitting) campers take a break for some sunshine and water games outdoors, or spend some quiet time cooling down with crafts and colouring. At the end of the week campers get to create their own performance costume from our Dance Camp Costume Closet and put on a show for a local Retirement Home! (barring current health restrictions). This is everyone’s favourite day of camp, showing off all of the hard work they put in all week and getting to hit the stage for an audience. The residents at the homes absolutely love seeing our campers dance, and it is such a rewarding experience for the performers too!

Our summer camps offer a wonderful opportunity for young dancers to make new friendships, flex their creative muscles, be mentored and inspired by our senior students, test out new dance styles, build confidence, gain teamwork and performance skills, and fall in love with dancing all while having loads of fun. Summer Dance Intensive 2024
August 26-30

Our summer intensive focuses on developing strength and flexibility, improving technique and further developing as dancers. Time is spent each day stretching, conditioning, and focusing on a different style of dance. At the end of the week we hope each student has gained new strength and skills to bring to their class work, as well as new appreciation (and maybe new interest!) in each of our dance styles.
